Yemen intensifies security measures around foreige interest

The Yemeni Interior Ministry declared the importance of the intensification of security measures and arrangements for the protection of foreign interests, residences of foreigners, and foreign embassies accredited to Yemen in precaution of terrorist attacks on Sunday.

The Interior Ministry’s Security Information Center said these measures came in response to the importance placed on the lives of foreigners and their safety in Yemen, to ensure they are not exposed to any harm. The Center affirmed its concern over current security apparatuses and the protection of foreign citizens and interests as well as diplomatic missions in Yemen.

The Interior Ministry said it continuously assesses measures of protecting foreigners with the aim to fill gaps and to not allow any security violation to happen that may enable terrorists to carry out attacks.

The ministry added that all foreigners are provided with high security measures at a high level of professionalism to make their residency in Yemen completely safe.
